Blues Clues

Party Ideas

Here is where you can find any party ideas if you are interested for throwing yourself, or someone you know a birthday party.

Buy blue food coloring and dye as much of the food as possible with blue.

Buy some blue face paint and color all the kids noses blue when they arrive.

Draw big paw prints with sidewalk chalk up the driveway or walkway to the house.

Decorate you own Blues Clues party hats.

Buy plain blue streamers, dark blue and light blue, and balloons to decorate the house with.

Make a piņata filled with goodies for the kids to hit open.

Trace puppy ears onto light blue felt and cut darker blue circles and hot glue them together. Glue the ears to a headband for all the kids to wear during the party.

Party bags filled with little things.  Put their name in a paw print

Make cupcakes with blue icing and a paw print on the top how ever you would like to make them.

Pick a character and play a pin the tail sort of game.  If you use blue, pin the paw print on Blue.  Or if you use Mailbox, pin the flag on Mailbox.

Blue Magic

This is an activity that everyone will enjoy. Let each child make their own "magic". This activity would be best outside or in the kitchen.

You Will Need:
Blue food coloring
Cornstarch
Sealable Sandwich Bags

Directions:
1. Pour 1 cup cornstarch into the sandwich bag.
2. Add blue food coloring to 1/4 cup of water.
3. Slowly add 1/4 cup of water mixed to the cornstarch.
4. Carefully press the excess air out of the sandwich bag and seal it shut.
5. Instruct each child to gently knead the sandwich bag until the mixture is well blended and smooth, but not to puncture the bag.

The children will be amazed as they watch the mixture turn from dry to wet and slowly turn blue.
